The medallion

Kelly was a 22 years old girl who had been living alone for a year. A summer, she decided to visit her great-aunt who she loved very much. She had not seen her for years. Her great-aunt Petunia was living alone in the countryside. So the girl made a long trip up to there.

She stayed with her for a weekend and told her great-aunt she was going to live by herself and continue her studies.

Before going away, her great-aunt gave her a box. She said to her that it was a very beautiful and ancient medallion that had passed from generation to generation in her family. She also said that she had a little time of life, because she was very sick, so her great-aunt gave her the medallion to continue with the tradition. But she warned her that she should not put the medallion on her body. She should admire his beauty and nothing else. If she put the medallion on her, bad things could happen.

Time passed and Kelly had a very important party and she did not have anything to wear on her neck. So she thought about the wonderful medallion and before putting it on, she remembered what her great-aunt had said to her. But she did not pay attention and put it on. When she did it, she saw she was beautiful and she thought that the things that Petunia had said to her were a product of her imagination.

It was then she felt that the medallion was setting in her chest. It changed colour to black and started burning her. Desperately, she tried to take it out, but she could not and suddenly her chest changed to black, too. Desperately she continued trying to put out the medallion. She pulled it very hard until it was extracted from her and she fainted. When she woke up, a few hours after the medallion incident, she noted on her chest a sign. This sign would be forever.

Then she put the medallion apart in safe and remembered what her great-aunt had said to her. She was sorry about not listening to her great-aunt and promised she would never put on again.

Author’s Biography

Mary Jones was born on 16 August, 1982 in Liverpool, Britain. She is a writer; one of her amazing successes was The Wiz, which has produced million of sales, all around the world in 1994. At present, she lives in London and she writes short stories for a famous paper.

Wicked Moves

In 1970, four sized family, decided to move to California. The couple wanted to change houses, because their children did not like their house and they had finished secondary school. During the journey they were all happy. When they arrived, they saw that the house was a little old. At night everything was weird.

When the guys went downstairs, they saw that all the things were out of order. Days continued passing by and the things continued being odd and creepy.

Every night there were strange sounds, shadows and screams. The family was worried about it.

The guys were having problems at college and they do not speak a lot. Time passed and one day one of the boys committed suicide.

After his death, the family decided to move to another house but it was other mistake.

It was a disgrace!, the new house was wicked, too. The couple did not realize inmediately that the house was haunted. A person in the family who noticed the problem was their daughter.

She killed herself, too. When the couple told their story to others, no one believed in them and everybody thought that they were crazy.

Biography

John Wayne

John Wayne is the author of the tale Wicked Moves. He was born on 17 of November, 1932 in England.

He started to write when he finished secondary school. When he published some tales the Academy of Writers gave him an award for the best writer.

He is happy with the prize. Because of this prize he was well known all over the world.

When John Wayne was old, he decided to write a tale for his grandson before dying. Finally he died when he was 64 years old because of a terrible illness.

The wicked route

In 1940 a terrible murder happened in route 46. Jane, a 14 years old child, was victim of murder. Since that day her spirit lives there seeking revenge and many accidents happen in the route.                        

After a few years, in a rainy day the child’s father, Tom, and his best friend were driving his car near that route. His car had a problem a few miles before the route where Jane had died and they had to walk. When they arrived at the route her father’s friend felt guilty; He was Jane’s murder. His name was Philip. Jane’s spirit started making noises and both men got scared. At that moment Jane’s spirit appeared; Tom could not believe what he was looking at. Philip could not bear his fault and he tried to attack the spirit. He spoke about the incident. In his anger Tom got crazy and he took a razor from his pocket and killed his best friend and after that he committed suicide. A few days later the police found the two bodies. Now Jane rests in peace.

She was born on 15 of May, 1948 in Mexico. She studied in Harvard and she went to the USA. She published some tales and novels. She received a lot of literary awards. She went to Europe and she died there in 1999.

Jewels

Danielle loved money and good and expensive stuff. She grew up in a simple family. Her brothers went to the university, but she chose other type of life. She dreamt about marrying to a rich, man and living a fantastic and comfortable life. One night, she met Elliot, a successful business man, with a huge house, a new car and attractive eyes and smile.
After many drinks, he whispered to her “you will have your dreamt life if you just become my Danielle”. She accepted immediately.
She moved from her parent’s house to Elliot’s. Elliot’s company was very successful and Danielle started working there as his secretary. Danielle went on shopping everyday, she had everything she wanted. One day, an associated company organized a party, and Elliot was invited to it. When they arrived at the party, two guys met them and offered them a job: to steal jewels. Danielle got scared but Elliot told her: “when I was younger I was a petty thief. Finally I got out of crime, and I started my life again, with my company. They know me, Danielle". She asked “But the jewels are very expensive” and Elliot said: "Yes, we are talking about 4.000.000 U$S for jewels but don’t worry”. "Nooo!! I want to do it,” said Danielle. Elliot surprised, but he kissed her, and he accepted the deal.
Elliot and Danielle started earning a lot of many with every jewel the stole.
One night, they went to a little jewelry shop, but they were caught. To their surprise the cop was Danielle police sister!!
Danielle’s brother was a lawyer, but he did not help her. He was so angry with his sister’s behaviour that he decided to defend the jewelry shop and he sent them to jail.
As a conclusion, money never buys happiness. Danielle’s brother and sister studied to make better their city, even to make a better life for their ambitious sister.

Johanne Hodgins is an English young writer. She likes writing police novels, horror tales and romantic novels, too. She lives in Mexico now. She is single and she won the “Edgar Allan Poe Awards” in the crime category of the awards.
Now, she is nominated to “QUEEN ELIZABETH AWARDS” in the “NEW WRITTERS” category. She was born on November, 1998.
